Ingredients

    FOR DOUGH
    1.6 oz. Compressed Yeast
    1/2 TBSP Salt
    8-1/2 Cups Flour
    8 Eggs, whole
    1-1/4 Cups La Fe Brown Sugar
    1-3/4 Cups Butter, melted
    1/3 Cup La Fe Sweetened Condensed Milk
    FOR DOUGH TO COVER RING
    1 Cup Butter, melted
    1 Cup La Fe Brown Sugar
    1 Egg, whole
    1-3/4 Cups Flour
    FOR ADDED DECORATION
    Top with your favorite vanilla icing and/or candied fruit.

Directions

  • FOR DOUGH
    STEP ONE
    Crumble the yeast cakes into 1/2 cup warm water (about 85º F.) Mix with “dough” ingredients and beat the batter well until dough is formed. It should be smooth and elastic.

  • STEP TWO
    On a large baking sheet, shape the dough into a ring to resemble a large wreath.

  • FOR DOUGH TO COVER RING
    STEP ONE
    Separately, mix melted butter and slowly add in La Fe Brown Sugar, egg, and flour. Mix until dough has formed.

  • STEP TWO
    Drape over dough ring

  • STEP THREE
    Cover the ring with a clean cloth or towel and let it sit in a warm place for two hours.

  • STEP FOUR
    Preheat oven, then bake at 350˚F for approximately 35 minutes or until golden brown.

  • STEP FIVE
    Top with favorite icing and serve.
