Halloween Blondieseasy prep time 20 mins | cook time 50 mins | SERVINGS 16
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted, plus more, room temperature, for pan
1 cup packed La Fe Brown Sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
1 ½ tsp coarse salt
¼ cup each orange, yellow, and brown candy-coated chocolates (from a 12.6-ounce bag)
Start by preheating the oven to 350ºF. Take an 8”x8” square pan and brush the entire inside of the pan with butter; line the pan with parchment paper. Leave a 2-inch overhang on two sides then, brush butter onto the parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the butter and La Fe Brown Sugar until the mix is smooth. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract then, mix until well combined. Next, add in the flour and salt and stir together until the mixture has moistened.
Transfer the batter into the 8”x8” buttered pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Then, decorate with the orange, yellow and brown candy-coated chocolates.
Bake the batter for around 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. After baking, set the pan on a wire rack and let the blondies cool completely. Using the parchment overhang, gently lift up the blondies from the pan and transfer to a cutting board. Cut out the blondies into 16 squares then, serve and enjoy!
